This half day workshop is an inspiring way to reconnect with your creative spirit surrounded by a supportive creative community and guided into the art process with Kathy Leader, creative coach. The day consists of self reflection, intention setting, freeform abstract painting and mixed media techniques. This workshop is appropriate for all levels. If you are a beginner and do not have any materials, we can provide them for you. Each workshop is designed around a particular concept or technique. This month the focus is on using Gelli prints with botanicals. We will make gorgeous prints to use in collage work.

Mixed media incorporates paint, drawing, printing and collage. It can be overwhelming! In this course, you will create a catalog of techniques that you will use to create various types of small compositions. You will be taken step by step through my tried and true process leaving you feeling inspired, confident and ready to jump into larger pieces.

This course is perfect for ongoing study as well as beginners who are curious about the process.

Palos Verdes ART for the SOUL Retreat, 2025

Our 3 day “Art for the Soul” retreat is an immersive experience in The Art Process. We will be exploring our inner creative voice through process oriented mixed media art, community discussions, meditation and movement. This is a great opportunity for self discovery amongst a supportive creative community. The retreat is geared towards anyone who is curious about the creative path whether you are just exploring your creativity for the first time or are a practicing artist who wants to deepen your practice.
