How to Create an Abstract Mixed Media Composition inspired by Nature

Collage as a base for a mixed media painting

Find inspiration for a mixed media abstract composition using gelli prints and paint. I use photographs that I take out in nature, in this case near the ocean. After cropping the image into a more abstract painting, I use my gelli plate printed papers to create a collage loosely based on the image. In this video you will see how I created and used fluid paint for overlays to give the effect of looking through the water that I wanted.
